Fall Wardrobe Desires: Ballerina Inspired

Due to the popularity of the Black Swan, ballerina inspired clothing was everywhere this spring.  However I find it more fit for the fall when it is too cold to wear the dresses and skirts inspired by the trend and am too busy with the beginning of a new school year to put much effort into my hair or nails.  I am not inspired by the tulle and frills of ballerinas like most, I find the simplicity the most appealing.  It is so easy to wear elegant style inspired by ballerinas, a pretty pale pink camisole underneath a wrap sweater, soft leather ballet flats, and accessories with ribbon details. In regards to beauty and hair I find it easy to follow this inspiration by pulling hair into a simple bun, using easy to apply neutrals in my make-up palette and my favorite Chanel nail polish appropriately named Ballerina, it is a light pink shade that dries fast and does not show chips.  The sweater is L'Agence, the shoes are Bloch, the purse and belt/headband are Lanvin, and the camisole is T by Alexander Wang.

  1. I love this. So pretty, sweet and classy. Personally I love tulle but could never actually imagine myself wearing it. Great post!

  4. I love the bun! I'm starting my first job in September and was looking for pretty and polished ways to wear my long hair to the office - definitely saving this picture!!

I'm a little biased as I love anything ballet related, but I should warn you about those bloch's. I bought them two months ago, and I had to go out and get a new pair. The leather is so delicate, and because the sole is wood you can really only wear them indoors or in perfect weather. I was very disappointed at how quickly they looked worn.
