Lanvin Fall 2013 RTW

Images: Style

For some reason Lanvin shows never translate to me, I always love Lanvin pieces on the red carpet or when I see them for sale on Net-A-Porter, but I usually never care for the runways shows.  However this show was amazing!  It is everything I expect from Lanvin; chic, elegant and feminine.  These dresses represent exactly how I want to style myself and I feel that these looks are extremely elegant and fun and young at the same time.  Are there any designers you feel are great in real life but not on the runway?

Lanvin's Anniversary Collection

Images: Fashionologie

There are few things that I adore more than Lanvin accessories, I intend for my first designer handbag to be a Happy bag!  To celebrate Alber Elbaz's 10th anniversary, Elbaz has created a limited-edition accessories collection, Happy.  The collection is made up of ten mini sets, each of which contain a shoe, a bag, and a piece of jewelery.  These sets are my favorite, but you can see the rest here

What I Would Have Bought...

Images: net-a-porter

... If I had won the lottery last night.  Alas I did not, but here are some of the beautiful things I was dreaming of.  Lovely Oscar de le Renta dresses, La Perla lingerie, Lanvin Happy bags in every color, this Valentino bracelet and really any lovely jewelry, and these Carven bow heels as well as the closed toe variety and flats in every lovely color that they offer.  This is a very small list, all of which are available on Net-A-Porter.  Of course I would also be including an Hermes Kelly, a Burberry trench and a black Chanel jacket... a girl can dream...

Lanvin Love...

Images: weheartit.com, netaporter.com

Like most women, I adore Lanvin. Alber Elbaz is an amazing designer and is keeping Lanvan's Parisian chic feel alive. These are my favorite pieces from net-a-porter.  I have always adored Lanvin handbags, especially the Happy bag.  And when I saw this beautiful black and tan bag my love was once again reafirmed.  Out of all these items, my favorite is the notebook.  I have never seen a chicer notebook, I would love to use it to write down all my blog ideas!  Which piece above is your favorite?

Fall Wardrobe Desires: Ballerina Inspired

Images: netaporter.com, weheartit.com

Due to the popularity of the Black Swan, ballerina inspired clothing was everywhere this spring.  However I find it more fit for the fall when it is too cold to wear the dresses and skirts inspired by the trend and am too busy with the beginning of a new school year to put much effort into my hair or nails.  I am not inspired by the tulle and frills of ballerinas like most, I find the simplicity the most appealing.  It is so easy to wear elegant style inspired by ballerinas, a pretty pale pink camisole underneath a wrap sweater, soft leather ballet flats, and accessories with ribbon details. In regards to beauty and hair I find it easy to follow this inspiration by pulling hair into a simple bun, using easy to apply neutrals in my make-up palette and my favorite Chanel nail polish appropriately named Ballerina, it is a light pink shade that dries fast and does not show chips.  The sweater is L'Agence, the shoes are Bloch, the purse and belt/headband are Lanvin, and the camisole is T by Alexander Wang.

Fall Wardrobe Desires: Muted Colors

                                                                            Images: net-a-porter.com

I have a new series!  It is called Fall Wardrobe Desires, starting now I will begin doing it with every season.  Right now I am really looking forward to adding neutral muted colors to my fall wardrobe, they match everything and are very pretty.  As much as I love dresses, sometimes it is too cold and one must be practical. I love this elegant silk crepe de chine See by Chloe blouse and what I am sure is a very soft and warm cashmere and silk blend sweater by Miu Miu which I would pair with a dark jean in either a bootleg or a skinny cut for wearing with flat riding boots.  This classic Mulberry bag can hold everything I need when I am at school and this Lanvin purse is so feminine and perfect for when I want to carry something a little lighter.  I fell in love with these suede Jimmy Choo heels all though they can not be worn in the rain, but these patent leather Jimmy Choo flats can.  I would love to mix and match all of these items and I hope to acquire some similar pieces this fall.
