A Little More Paris...

I have once again come across more beautiful photographs of Paris and yet as I can not jump on a plane anytime soon photographs like these will have to cure my wanderlust.  For those of you who also have this problem may I suggest watching Midnight in Paris?  The film is funny and interesting but also a treat for the eyes!

J'ai une fois de plus rencontré plus belles photos de Paris et pourtant que je ne peux pas sauter dans un avion de sitôt photos comme celles-ci auront pour guérir mon envie de voyager. Pour ceux d'entre vous qui ont le même problème puis-je suggérer à regarder Midnight in Paris? Le film est drôle et intéressant, mais aussi un régal pour les yeux!

My Current Inspiration...

I will admit that my first week of work has not been very glamorous, so here are a few extravagant things I have been thinking about lately...

1. I have been greatly anticipating the new season of Downton Abbey and the season premier last week did not disappoint in drama or glamour.

2. For the past few months I have been extremely fascinated in jewelry design, new and old, and these studio tours of Lulu Frost and Eddie Borgo provide an interesting look into that exclusive world.

3. Now that my weekends will not be consumed with school work or working at night, some time may be set aside for a few museum visits.

Je dois admettre que ma première semaine de travail n'a pas été très glamour, donc pour le moment je vais devoir me perdre po ..

1. J'ai été grandement anticiper la nouvelle saison de Downton Abbey et le premier ministre la semaine dernière saison n'a pas déçu dans le drame ou glamour.

2. Pour les derniers mois, j'ai été très fasciné dans la conception de bijoux, nouveaux et anciens, et ces visites de studios de Lulu Frost  et Eddie Borgo offrir un regard intéressant dans ce monde exclusif.

3. Maintenant que mes week-ends ne sera pas consommée avec le travail scolaire ou de travail de nuit, un certain temps peut être mis de côté pour un peu de visites de musées.

Julia Restoin-Roitfeld For Kiki De Montparnasse

How can beautiful lingerie get even better?  If it is French of course!  Julia Restoin-Roitfeld, daughter of former Vogue Paris editor in chief Carine Roitfield, has designed a line of elegant and glamorous lingerie for Kiki de Montparnasse.  The designer is also the model, who looks absolutely stunning in these photographs while being two months pregnant!  I don't know what I am more in love with; the lingerie or her hair.  Both are très chic!

Comment peut-belle lingerie devenir encore meilleur? S'il est français bien sûr! Julia Restoin-Roitfeld, la fille de Vogue Paris, ancien rédacteur en chef Carine Roitfield, a conçu une ligne de lingerie élégante et glamour pour Kiki de Montparnasse. Le concepteur est aussi le modèle qui ressemble absolument superbe dans ces photos, tout en étant enceinte de deux mois! Je ne sais pas ce que je suis plus en amour avec, la lingerie ou ses cheveux. Les deux sont très chic!

Because school is so overwhelming right now, I have found a way to study while blogging.  I need to practice writing in French so I have decided to start writing my blog in French and English.  There may be mistakes in my French, so anyone please feel free to correct me!  I hope to soon welcome some new French readers!  Au revoir mon cheries!

Christian Dior In Paris

Aren't these photographs of the Christian Dior store in Paris elegant?  I especially love the old black and white photographs of Christian Dior and his clients.  What a lovely place to shop, especially for couture!

Australian Vogue

I am in love with this spread featuring Jessica Hart, shot by Eric Guillemain, for Vogue Australia.  Not only is the spread shot in Paris, the outfits manly consist of Ralph Lauren.  These elegant and chic classic pieces can be easily mixed into your wardrobe forever.  I love the long sleeved navy blouse in the second picture, it is so elegant and beautiful.  You can see the rest of the spread here.

Vogue Enfants

It seems like children are everywhere in fashion these days, Hailee Steinfeld is the face of Miu Miu and Elle Fanning had a spread in Vogue's August issue.  The trend continues in this insert from Vogue Paris shows children in miniature outfits of clothes I would want to wear! I never dressed this chic when I was a child, but then again these children are French.

Ralph Lauren In Paris

I have always thought of the Ralph Lauren brand as classic American, the Paris flagship store is extremely French and very elegant.  The store is located in the Quatier Latin on the left bank housed in an 18th century mansion.  The store even contains a critically acclaimed restaurant, Ralph's, which boasts a menu of classic American food.

Couture In Black And White

I find black and white photographs elegant, classic, and often times more interesting than color as more is left to the imagination.  I fell in love with this Vogue photo shoot many years ago and have never forgotten it.  I posted the equally gorgeous colored photos from this spread in a previous post.

Paris In Pastels

These pictures of Paris in pastel light are stunning, and it is refreshing to see such pictures taken of Paris in the fall instead of the spring.  There are no flower blossoms on the trees, but red and orange leaves in their place.  Fall in Paris would be a wonderful time to visit, but so would any time of the year.
