Weekend Style Inspiration

After talking about Burberry so much this week I can not not share a trench coat for this weekend's style inspiration!  I have avoided posting about them as I did quite a bit at first when I first started blogging two years ago, but chances are most of you haven't even seen those posts so I thought I would share one today.  This look is from Ines de la Fressange's book Parisian Chic and it is a perfect example of how a trench coat can totally transform an average outfit of jeans and a t-shirt.  I love trench coats because they really work for the weather where I live, I wear them all winter when it rains or isn't too cold and even during the summer early in the morning when it is still a little cold and there is a marine layer.  Sometimes I feel a little silly when my classmates are all in sweatshirts but my I figure I can't put my personal style on hold because of what others are wearing.  Do you have anything you love to wear but no one else does?

Après avoir parlé de Burberry tellement cette semaine je ne peux pas ne pas partager un trench-coat pour leur inspiration ce week-end! J'ai évité l'affichage d'eux comme je l'ai fait un peu au début, quand j'ai commencé à bloguer il ya deux ans, mais les chances sont plus d'entre vous ont même pas vu ces messages alors j'ai pensé que je pourrais partager un aujourd'hui. Ce look est de réserver Parisian Chic Ines de la Fressange et il est un parfait exemple de la façon dont un trench-coat peut totalement transformer une tenue moyenne de jeans et un t-shirt. J'aime trenchs, car ils vraiment travailler pour le temps où je vis, je les porte tout l'hiver quand il pleut ou ne soit pas trop froid et même pendant l'été tôt le matin quand il est encore un peu froid et il ya un marin couche. Parfois je me sens un peu bête quand mes camarades de classe sont tous dans des pulls molletonnés, mais mon je me dis que je ne peux pas mettre mon style personnel en attente en raison de ce que les autres portent. Avez-vous tout ce que vous aimez porter, mais personne d'autre ne le fait?

Runway Beauty Inspiration: Burberry Prorsum

To me Burberry has always represented one thing, trench coats.  Now obviously they have fantastic clothes and accessories but my first thought about the brand is always their immaculate trench coats.  And my newer viewers may not realize this, as I tried to not keep posting about them again and again, but I love trench coats.  I have a traditional khaki and a navy blue one and I wear them all year long; we have mild weather where I live in California.  The point I am trying to get to is that the beauty at the recent Burberry Prorsum fall 2013 rtw show was like a classic trench coat, classic and clean.  You can wear a trench coat with virtually any outfit and you can also pair this natural make-up on any day.  Lately I am really liking simpler make-up; natural pink blush and lips and just a little mascara and highlighter on the cheeks and eyes.  I feel like sometimes too much eye make-up can look a little dirty, especially after a few hours wear.  And tomorrow I will be sharing some of the make-up used by the make-up artist as well as how to achieve this look!

Maintenant, évidemment, ils ont des vêtements et des accessoires fantastiques, mais ma première pensée à propos de la marque est toujours leurs trenchs impeccables. Et mes nouveaux spectateurs ne peuvent pas réaliser cela, comme j'ai essayé de ne pas garder l'affichage d'eux encore et encore, mais j'aime trench-coat. J'ai un kaki traditionnel et un bleu marine un et je les porte toute l'année, nous avons un climat doux où je vis en Californie. Le point que j'essaie de faire, c'est que la beauté Burberry Prorsum à la chute récente show 2013 rtw était comme un trench classique, classique et propre. Vous pouvez porter un trench-coat avec pratiquement n'importe quelle tenue et vous pouvez également combiner ce maquillage naturel sur toute la journée. Dernièrement, je suis vraiment goût simple maquillage, naturel rose blush et les lèvres et juste un peu de mascara et de surligneur sur les joues et les yeux. J'ai l'impression que les yeux parfois trop de maquillage peut paraître un peu sale, surtout après quelques heures l'usure. Et demain, je vais partager une partie du maquillage utilisé par l'artiste de maquillage ainsi que la façon d'obtenir ce look!

I apologize for my brief absence, but I just finished finals today!  However I am not back into blogging yet, as my boyfriend and I are heading up to Santa Barbara for a few days.  I am so excited to get away for a few days and relax, but I will be back into regular posting this weekend.  I will see you all soon!

With rain coming my way this week, I am going to be taking inspiration from these lovely photographs.  And while I can not commit to a dress in the rain, I can manage a trench coat and a feminine umbrella.  I hope you all have a lovely week and stay warm and dry where ever you are!

Now that summer vacation is here, I will have plenty of time to read.  And while I will be reading more novels that books like these, I still wish I could get my hands on all of these...

  A Privileged Life: I am always drawn to WASP style, and this book is full of pictures I can use for inspiration.

The Trench Book: I would love to learn more about my beloved trench coat.

High Society: The history of New York's High Society combined with glamorous pictures, what could be better?

Bals: Like many, I find the idea of a masked ball irresistible.

Lanvin: I have recently fallen in love with Lanvin and am dying to learn more about the storied fashion house.

What books would you recommend?  I am will be reading a lot this summer, so suggestions would really be appreciated!

 

Maintenant que les vacances d'été est là, je vais avoir beaucoup de temps pour lire. Et tandis que je vais lire d'autres romans que des livres comme ceux-ci, je souhaite toujours que je pourrais obtenir mes mains sur l'ensemble de ces ...

 High Society: L'histoire de la haute société de New York, combinée avec des photos glamour, ce qui pourrait être mieux?

 Bals: Comme beaucoup, je trouve l'idée d'un bal masqué irrésistible.

 Lanvin: J'ai récemment tombé en amour avec Lanvin et meurs d'envie de savoir plus sur la maison de couture étages.

What I Would Have Bought...

... If I had won the lottery last night.  Alas I did not, but here are some of the beautiful things I was dreaming of.  Lovely Oscar de le Renta dresses, La Perla lingerie, Lanvin Happy bags in every color, this Valentino bracelet and really any lovely jewelry, and these Carven bow heels as well as the closed toe variety and flats in every lovely color that they offer.  This is a very small list, all of which are available on Net-A-Porter.  Of course I would also be including an Hermes Kelly, a Burberry trench and a black Chanel jacket... a girl can dream...

... Si j'avais gagné à la loterie la nuit dernière. Hélas je n'ai pas, mais voici quelques-unes des belles choses que je rêvais. Belles robes Le Oscar de Renta, lingerie La Perla, Lanvin sacs heureux dans toutes les couleurs, ce bracelet Valentino et vraiment tout bijou charmant, et ces talons arc Carven ainsi que la variété bout fermé et appartements dans toutes les couleurs belle qu'ils offrent. Il s'agit d'une très petite liste, qui sont tous disponibles sur Net-A-Porter. Bien sûr, je serais aussi y compris un Kelly Hermès, un trench Burberry et une veste noire Chanel ... une fille peut rêver ...

Good Bye Weekend

I hope you all had a lovely holiday weekend!  The weather turned from gloomy and cold to sunny and warm this weekend, that is California weather for you.  So I went on lovely walks at our harbor, and I finally had a chance to wear my new dress.  What did you all do this weekend?  I hope you all have lovely starts to your week tomorrow!

And after such a long weekend if you want to sleep a little longer instead of worrying about what to wear, use the picture above for inspiration and throw a trench over whatever you are wearing.

J'espère que vous avez tous eu un week-end de belles vacances! Le temps s'est desombre et froid au chaud et ensoleillé ce week-end, c'est météorologiques en Californie pour vous. Alors je suis allé sur de belles promenades à notre port, et j'ai finalement eu la chance de porter ma nouvelle robe. Qu'est-ce que vous faites tousce week-end? J'espère que vous avez tous à votre charmante commence demainpar semaine!

Et après un long week end si vous voulez dormir un peu plus longtemps au lieu de se soucier de quoi porter, utiliser l'image ci-dessus pour l'inspiration et de jeter une tranchée sur tout ce que vous portez.

Burberry Fall 2011 Campaign

We have been having the strangest weather where I live, one day it is raining and cold and the next day it is close to 100 degrees and then in a few more days the cold weather has returned.  I personally am relishing the colder weather as I am ready to bring out my fall wardrobe, and what better fall piece than a classic trench coat?  This new Burberry ad came at the perfect time; I love the different variations, especially the lace!  I recently bought a navy one and have enjoyed wearing it much sooner than I expected.

My first fall purchase is a navy trench coat.  I have a classic beige one and love it, but it is much heavier and longer and for colder weather.  I thought having one in a different color would be interesting as it rarely gets cold enough where I live to justify a heavier coat.  My new navy one, similar to the Calvin Klein one shown above, is shorter and lighter more like a jacket.  Have you visited Burbery's Art of The Trench website yet?  There are many lovely pictures to gain inspiration from! 

Fall Wardrobe Desires: Burberry

Despite the fact that summer is still in full swing, I cannot help my self from thinking about my fall wardrobe.  Fall is an interesting season for fashion, not too hot and not too cold, leaving plenty of options in fashion.  These Burberry pieces would be the perfect additions to any fall wardrobe any year as they are classic pieces that will stand the test of time not only in style but quality as well.  I love this short trench coat for those days when there is light sprinkling and no need for a coat to ones knees.  This light silk scarf will keep the wind from hitting you without being too warm like cashmere would.  And these boots are the perfect flat riding style  boots, comfortable and will keep your feet warm and dry while still being stylish.  I am in love with dark brown leather boots and purses right now, they are so much warmer than black.  What are you looking forward to adding to your fall wardrobe?
