As I promised in my last post, I have a gift guide for those of you who adore anything high fashion...and here it is!
1. Because most of us can not afford to subscribe to the Vogue Archives, this book will be a good replacement.  I have had it for years and it is filled with stunning photographs and fascinating information about Vogue and the history of fashion.
2. For jewelry lovers, this bracelet from Club Monaco is elegant and decadent but at a costume jewelry price.  P.S. Students get a 15% discount at Club Monaco.

3. I am obsessed with these Vionnet shoes and I think a lot of women who are tired of the heavy platform trend will be too.  Because there is so little material they are the perfect shoe for a more elaborate dress, which I am sure your fashion loving loved one has plenty of!

Comme je l'ai promis dans mon dernier post, j'ai un guide de cadeau pour ceux d'entre vous qui adorent la mode tout haut ... et voilà!

1. Parce que la plupart d'entre nous ne peut se permettre de souscrire aux Archives Vogue, ce livre sera un bon remplacement. Je l'ai eu pendant des années et il est rempli de superbes photographies et des informations fascinantes à propos de Vogue et de l'histoire de la mode.

2. Pour les amateurs de bijoux, ce bracelet de Club Monaco est élégant et décadent, mais à un prix bijoux de fantaisie. Post-scriptum Les étudiants obtiennent un rabais de 15% chez Club Monaco.

3. Je suis obsédé par ces chaussures Vionnet et je pense que beaucoup de femmes qui sont fatigués de la tendance lourde plate-forme sera trop. Parce qu'il ya tellement peu de matériel qu'ils sont la chaussure parfaite pour une robe plus élaborée, qui je suis sûr que votre mode d'aimer un être cher a beaucoup d'!

Loving D'orsay Pumps

I have never been on board with the platform trend, I understand the appeal comfort wise if one desires to add height, but other that I have simply never found them appealing.  And I usually do not like to write about what I dislike, but this article got me all excited!  The reason I like heels is because I like to feel feminine and elegant and personally I just do not get that feeling from platforms.  And lately I have been drawn to as little of material as possible on heels, which I have found on d'orsay pumps!  Manolo Blahnik uses this style every season and one day I hope to own a pair!

Je n'ai jamais été à bord avec la tendance plate-forme, je comprends le confort appel sage si l'on veut ajouter de la hauteur, mais d'autres que je n'ai tout simplement jamais trouvé leur appel. Et je n'aime habituellement pas à écrire sur ce que je n'aime pas, mais cet article m'a tout excité! La raison pour laquelle j'aime les talons parce que je tiens à sentir féminine et élégante, et personnellement, je ne comprends pas ce sentiment de plates-formes. Et dernièrement, j'ai été attirée sur aussi peu de matériel que possible sur les talons, que j'ai trouvés sur les pompes d'Orsay! Manolo Blahnik utilise ce style à chaque saison et un jour je l'espère de posséder une paire!

What I Would Have Bought...

... If I had won the lottery last night.  Alas I did not, but here are some of the beautiful things I was dreaming of.  Lovely Oscar de le Renta dresses, La Perla lingerie, Lanvin Happy bags in every color, this Valentino bracelet and really any lovely jewelry, and these Carven bow heels as well as the closed toe variety and flats in every lovely color that they offer.  This is a very small list, all of which are available on Net-A-Porter.  Of course I would also be including an Hermes Kelly, a Burberry trench and a black Chanel jacket... a girl can dream...

... Si j'avais gagné à la loterie la nuit dernière. Hélas je n'ai pas, mais voici quelques-unes des belles choses que je rêvais. Belles robes Le Oscar de Renta, lingerie La Perla, Lanvin sacs heureux dans toutes les couleurs, ce bracelet Valentino et vraiment tout bijou charmant, et ces talons arc Carven ainsi que la variété bout fermé et appartements dans toutes les couleurs belle qu'ils offrent. Il s'agit d'une très petite liste, qui sont tous disponibles sur Net-A-Porter. Bien sûr, je serais aussi y compris un Kelly Hermès, un trench Burberry et une veste noire Chanel ... une fille peut rêver ...

Instead of having a singular post today, I thought I would share a few things that have been on my mind lately.  As for beauty and hair, I have been fascinated by the stunning Sophia Loren.  I found this fantastic pair of Valentino heels from the same collection as last weekend's style inspiration.  I have been mesmerized their unique style, I would love to add a piece this amazing to my wardrobe.  And I found a simple and chic room that required minimal decorations, but a chandelier would be the perfect one.  I hope you all have a lovely weekend ahead of you!  And in case you missed these previous posts...

Au lieu d'avoir un poste singulière aujourd'hui, j'ai pensé que je voudrais partager quelques choses qui ont été dans mon esprit ces derniers temps. Quant à la beauté et les cheveux, j'ai été fasciné par la superbe Sophia Loren. J'ai trouvé cette paire de talons Valentino fantastiques de la même collection que l'inspiration de style week-end dernier. J'ai été hypnotisé leur style unique, j'aimerais ajouter un morceau de cette incroyable pour ma garde-robe. Et j'ai trouvé une chambre simple et chic qui exigeait décorations minime, mais un lustre serait le parfait. Little Touches Of Glamour

Sometimes my favorite part of the collections are not the overall looks, but the little details.  After closer inspection of Donna Karan's Fall 2011 RTW collection, I have fallen in love.  The entire collection was extremely elegant with the most stunning details.  The clothes have the perfect 1950's silhouettes, simple yet extremely flattering.  And because the designs are so simple, they provide the perfect back drop for the opera gloves, python shoes and handbags, ribbed tights, pearl necklaces and touches of fur.  There are coats, dresses, skirts, blouses, and jackets that can easily transition into any wardrobe.  This is my ideal winter wardrobe, the collection has many pieces that can be warn through cold winters while being unbelievably chic.

P.S. I do not condone the use of real fur, I believe these pieces are and advocate finding a faux fur piece instead.

 Parfois, ma partie préférée de la collection ne sont pas les regards d'ensemble, mais les petits détails. Après une inspection plus minutieuse de la collection de Donna Karan Automne 2011 RTW, je suis tombé en amour. La collection entière a été extrêmement élégant, avec les détails les plus étonnants. Les vêtements ont la parfaite 1950 de silhouettes, simple mais extrêmement flatteur. Et parce que les dessins sont si simples, elles fournissent la toile de fond parfaite pour les gants d'opéra, de chaussures et sacs à main python, collants nervuré, colliers de perles et des touches de fourrure. Il ya des manteaux, robes, jupes, chemisiers, vestes et qui peut facilement passer dans n'importe quelle garde-robe. Ceci est ma garde-robe d'hiver idéal, la collection a beaucoup de pièces qui peuvent être avertir par des hivers froids, tout en étant incroyablement chic.

 P.S. Je ne cautionne pas l'utilisation de fourrure véritable, je crois que ces pièces sont et préconiser la recherche d'une pièce de fausse fourrure à la place.

It's time to start thinking about what to buy your loved ones this holiday season, and I have found the perfect gift for fashion loving children and adults alike!  Manolo Blahnik and the Tale of the Elves and the Shoemaker: A Fashion Fairy Tale Memoir is the second fairy tale inspired book by Camilla Morton.  Her first was Christian Lacroix and the Tale of Sleeping Beauty: A Fashion Fairy Tale Memoir, which would be perfect for any true couture lover.  Her new book combines the life of Manolo Blahnik with the traditional fairy tale, including time lines of the designer's life.  The best part of the charming book is that the illustrations are by Manolo Blahnik, and anyone who has visited his website know how stunning his artwork is.  This series is a wonderful idea and I can not wait to see what designer and fairy tale is next!

Il est temps de commencer à réfléchir sur ce qu'il faut acheter vos proches cette saison de vacances, et j'ai trouvé le cadeau idéal pour la mode aimant les enfants et les adultes! Manolo Blahnik et le Conte des Elfes et le cordonnier: A Memoir contede fées mode est le livre seconde fée conte inspiré par Camilla Morton. Son premiera été Christian Lacroix et le conte de Sleeping Beauty: A Memoir conte de féesmode, ce qui serait parfait pour tout amateur de couture vrai. Son nouveau livrecombine la vie de Manolo Blahnik avec le conte de fées traditionnels, y compris les lignes de temps de vie du couturier. La meilleure partie du livre de charme est que les illustrations sont par Manolo Blahnik, et quiconque a visité son site savez comment son œuvre est étonnante. Cette série est une idée merveilleuse et je ne peux pas attendre pour voir ce que concepteur et conte de fées est à côté!

Fall Wardrobe Desires: Burberry

Despite the fact that summer is still in full swing, I cannot help my self from thinking about my fall wardrobe.  Fall is an interesting season for fashion, not too hot and not too cold, leaving plenty of options in fashion.  These Burberry pieces would be the perfect additions to any fall wardrobe any year as they are classic pieces that will stand the test of time not only in style but quality as well.  I love this short trench coat for those days when there is light sprinkling and no need for a coat to ones knees.  This light silk scarf will keep the wind from hitting you without being too warm like cashmere would.  And these boots are the perfect flat riding style  boots, comfortable and will keep your feet warm and dry while still being stylish.  I am in love with dark brown leather boots and purses right now, they are so much warmer than black.  What are you looking forward to adding to your fall wardrobe?

I have recently been falling for square heeled pumps and have begun seeing them in stores and magazines at an increasing rate.  Not only do I really like the sixties inspiration, which I have seen in this Blake Lively fashion spread and this Emilio Pucci collection, but there is definitively an appeal to having a little more stability.  These Stuart Weitzman shoes are $395 and can be bought here.  

Charlotte Olympia Sandals

While Charlotte Olympia is known for towering heels, I find these Marina flats sandals the best pair in her current collection.  The flat shoe is perfect for being comfortable this summer, but looks much less casual than the average sandal.  Even better? They are currently on sale, get them while you can.

Chanel Ballet Flats

I love the classic color combination of cream and black.  I have read that Chanel ballet flats are extremely soft and comfortable, which is the reason for most girls to wear flat shoes.  They will be in style forever and are supposed to be of very good quality and last a very long time.  They are made of all leather which means they will stretch and soften with time and become increasingly comfortable.  I think they are just perfect.
