Only During The Holidays...

Images: My Polyvore, Tumblr

In my opinion the holiday season is the perfect time of year to add a little extra glamour to your wardrobe and beauty routine without looking too over the top.  However not everyone can purchase and entirely new wardrobe for the holidays, so here are my tips for taking advantage of the season...

1. Add small fur touches to your outfits such as a scarf or trimming on gloves or a coat. {I would only ever wear faux fur!}
2. There is nothing more glamorous than opera gloves, but since trips to the opera are rare for most, I think leather ones are practical and really elegant.
3. Deep red lipstick that is usually too dark for the rest of the year.
4. With all the travel and shopping to be done a large leather bag is much more practical than a small handbag and I love this grey one as a neutral color instead of black or brown.
5. Perfume is stronger in the warmer months so I personally stay away from strong perfumes in the summer, but in winter I love to wear nice perfume.
6. And maybe one of the best parts of the holiday season is the ability to wear really elaborate and sparkly jewelry.

P.S. Let me know if you like my posts with my own sets or if you prefer when I use photographs!

1. Ajoutez une touche de fourrure légèrement vos vêtements comme une écharpe ou tailler des gants ou un manteau. {Je voudrais que jamais porter de la fourrure faux!}

Winter Is Almost Here

Images: weheartit.com

There is something magical about winter, the soft pale coats, pretty shades of lipstick, new bottles of perfume, the glittering champagne and pretty little desserts at holiday parties, soft cashmere sweaters, sparkling lights, and lost of time to spend with those you love.

Don't Forget The Classics

Images: weheartit.com

Despite the fact that I generally try to post about the newest fashion, I never forget about the classics.  No wardrobe is complete without a white shirt, structured lady-like handbag, black pumps, and a classic scent to top off every outfit.

Hermès has introduced a new perfume in their garden collection inspired by their roof top garden in Paris.  Un Jardin Sur Le Toit contains notes of apple, pear, magnolia, rose, and green herbs.  I have yet to smell this perfume as it has not been widely distributed yet, I believe it is currently only available in Hermes boutiques, but it sounds like the perfect fresh, light, summer fragrance to me.  Have any of you tried it yet?  If so, what do you think?

Tocca Perfumes

Today I stumbled upon these pretty pastel Toca perfume bottles and was even more attracted to them once I smelt them.  The scents ranged from floral, fruity, and sweet and were not too over powering.  What started as a clothing brand, Tocca is now more known for its exquisite taste in scents, candles, perfumes, and more.  The best part about their beauty line is that if you love a fragrance you are likely to find a candle, soap, or lotion to match.

Marie Antoinette's Perfume

While many have envied the lifestyle of Marie Antoinette, her extravagant palaces and crown jewels are not exactly attainable for the every-woman.  But now you can have a piece of her beauty regimen, the house of Lubin is reviving a perfume originally worn by Marie Antoinette.  This perfume was created for Antoinette by the royal noose Jean-Louis Fargeon in mind of the gardens at the Petit Trianon.  The scent which consists of rose, jasmine, and bergamot is named Black Jade; like the deep jade colored vile Antoinette kept the perfume in while imprisoned in the Temple Tower of Paris.  What is the cost of smelling like France's most infamous Queen?  130 dollars and you can purchase the scent at aedes.com.

Jo Malone Frangrances

Jo Malone creates a large range of fragrant products that come in unique scents.  The luxurious products range from perfume, soaps and body washes, lotions, candles and more.  The fragrances are categorized by citrus, fruity, light floral, floral, spicy, and woody.  I love that you can buy candles of your favorite perfume scent or a matching lotion or soap.  The scents that entice me the most are Orange Blossom, English Pear & Freesia, and Nectarine Blossom & Honey.  I also like the clean and classic packaging of cream and black.
