Fall Wardrobe Desires: Back To School

September is not only back to school for students, but considered a quasi back to school for the fashion industry as well.  When fashion week, or month they should call it, starts every editor, buyer, model,  and stylist get back together and back to rushed deadlines and new clothes just like students.  The point I am trying to make is, that even if you are out of school you can acquire school girl inspired pieces to update your fall wardrobe.  I picked school girl mixed with this season's 60's inspiration for the perfect additions to any wall outfit.  This See by Chloé sweater dress will keep you warm and this Mulberry bag is big enough to hold all of your school supplies, or work supplies, and these Stella Mcartney pumps are the perfect touch of 1960's style.  Top it off with simple make-up and an easy swinging pony tail such as the one from last fall's Louis Vuitton show and you are ready to go!

New Chloé Ad

The new ad for Chloé perfume is very simple, which I like because it makes you focus on the perfume versus a garden or beach scene.  The bottle is pretty as always and so are the models Imogen Poots and Camille Rowe.

Fall Wardrobe Desires: Muted Colors

                                                                            Images: net-a-porter.com

I have a new series!  It is called Fall Wardrobe Desires, starting now I will begin doing it with every season.  Right now I am really looking forward to adding neutral muted colors to my fall wardrobe, they match everything and are very pretty.  As much as I love dresses, sometimes it is too cold and one must be practical. I love this elegant silk crepe de chine See by Chloe blouse and what I am sure is a very soft and warm cashmere and silk blend sweater by Miu Miu which I would pair with a dark jean in either a bootleg or a skinny cut for wearing with flat riding boots.  This classic Mulberry bag can hold everything I need when I am at school and this Lanvin purse is so feminine and perfect for when I want to carry something a little lighter.  I fell in love with these suede Jimmy Choo heels all though they can not be worn in the rain, but these patent leather Jimmy Choo flats can.  I would love to mix and match all of these items and I hope to acquire some similar pieces this fall.

Ballerina Buns

While I do like slightly messy chignons at times such as the ones at the Valentino Couture show, I often prefer a perfectly clean and smooth ballerina style bun.  The ones at the Chloé spring 2011 ready to wear show were perfect and matched their elegant ballerina inspired sheer pinks and wrap dresses perfectly.

White Dresses

As you may have noticed I not only have a new obsession with Chloé, but with white dresses as well.  I think they look so nice for summer, so simple and fresh looking as well as versatile.  The first one shown looks perfect for an evening event, the second can be worn any time, and the third would be lovely on a warm day.

A Chloé Obsession

As you may be able to tell, I have a new obsession with Chloé, especially the chic handbags.  The first and the last bag are practical in size and match everything.  The second bag is  perfect for the days when you want a light purse and the unique color makes it stand out more than a traditional black bag.

Chloé Runway and Real LIfe

This Chloé dress is beautiful, but most of us do not have anywhere to wear a long flowing shear dress.  However a shell pink shear blouse is very wearable; and available on Net-A-Porter.

Perfume on Display

I love this photo of what appears to be some sort of table used for getting ready.  I love the whites and pastels as well as the simple pretty flowers.  I am especially fond of the mat for all the pretty displayable perfume bottles and makeup.  I often times find myself wanting perfume just for the pretty bottles, however I do own the Chanel Mademoiselle one shown above and it smells as wonderful as it looks.

Perfect For Paris

This dress is from the Christian Dior Spring 2011 RTW collection; and while I normally do not care for black in spring, you can wear black any time of the year in Paris.
