Oscar de le Renta is known for his ladylike designs, and this collection is no exception.  The classic designs are enhanced with unique silhouettes, embroidery, and pretty accessories.

These are my favorite shots from the new Dior Addict lipstick campaign staring Kate Moss.

Vintage Inspired Swimsuit

Image: weheartit.com

With summer right around the corner, swim suit season is arriving as well.  While most favor bikinis I like one piece suits as well, this floral vintage inspired one is very pretty.  The floral fabric, the vintage cut, the tie in the back, it is all perfect.

Backless Dress

I love backless dresses, especially this black one.  I like how instead of dipping down it connects at the top, and the bow is very pretty as well.

Yves Saint Laurent Spring 2011 RTW

Images: style.com

The Yves Saint Laurent Spring 2011 RTW collection was filled with classic colors and new shapes, creating non boring neutral dresses.  While the navy blue pieces seemed better for fall and winter, the beige works for spring as well of the rest of the year.  The dresses above were my favorite from the collection, but the whole show is worth taking a look at.

Fantasy Opera Costumes

Nineteen designers recently drew sketches of what they thought their favorite opera characters should wear.  They sold these designers to raise money for the New York City Opera, above are my two favorite.  Designed by Gilles Mendel for Violetta from La Traviata (left) and Peter Som for Amelia from A Masked Ball (right).

Book Review: Audrey Hepburn

Image: bizrate.com

I recently finished Audrey Hepburn by famed celebrity photographer Barry Paris.  The biography cover every moment of Audrey's life from her experiences during World War II as a child to her last days work with U.N.I.C.E.F.. There are personal counts from friends and family as well as pages of photographs.  Every part of the book was extremely interesting and provided a lot of interesting information about the film industry and Audrey's friends such as Hubert de Givenchy, whom created most of her clothes on film and in life.  The book shows insight into her influence in film, fashion, and charity all over the world.  I highly recommend this book to any Audrey Hepburn fan.

Chanel Resort 2011 Bikini

I love gingham fabric, especially in summer. I love this pink gingham bikini by Chanel. The color is so pretty and the ruffles are really cute.  Although it really doesn't look like traditional Chanel, I think it is great.

Jenny Packham Spring 2011 RTW

I recently discovered this designer after seeing the first dress shown on Blair Waldorf on Gossip girl.  I decided to look up the designer because I loved the dress so much and I was pleasantly surprised to see that her entire spring line was filled with sparkling and shimmering gowns made of silk, tulle and outstanding beading and sequin work.  Unlike many designers her spring and fall lines both fit each season perfectly.

White and Gold

I really like this photo of Emma Watson, I think it is a nice change from the way she usually looks in Harry Potter, and I think the white dress goes beautifully with the gold sofa.

Perfume on Display

I love this photo of what appears to be some sort of table used for getting ready.  I love the whites and pastels as well as the simple pretty flowers.  I am especially fond of the mat for all the pretty displayable perfume bottles and makeup.  I often times find myself wanting perfume just for the pretty bottles, however I do own the Chanel Mademoiselle one shown above and it smells as wonderful as it looks.

Spring Outfit

I love this white blouse, polka dot skirt, and straw hat combination.  I love the sheer dotted fabric of the blouse, the high waisted cut of the skirt, and bow on the hat.  It is the perfect outfit for a warm spring day outside.

Easy Combinations

No outfit is easier or more classic than a clean white blouse, pretty pink ballet flats, and beautiful strands of pearls.

Met Costume Gala 2011

Image: nymag.com

After viewing all of the gowns worn to the Met Ball, thrown by Vogue for the Costume Institute, I was wildly unimpressed.  I did not care for any of the dresses, most were too over the top and artsy.  But I did like the one Ashley Greene wore, well I liked the cut and the color, I wasn't crazy about the sequins. But despite that, she does look pretty.

Film Review: Water For Elephants

Images: weheartit.com

I really loved the film "Water For Elephants" almost as much as the book.  The film stayed very true to the story from the book and was overall very good.  I especially loved the 1930's clothing that Reese Witherspoon's character wears.  The formal gowns were all made of beautiful silk and I love the bias cut of the one above.  Her casual clothes were all very pretty as well as her glittering preformance outfits.
